Rights for Using Media Files
- Allow the consumer to play the content on a computer.
- The number times the content can be played.
- Allow the consumer to copy the content to a CD.
- Once content is copied to a CD, the content is no longer protected.
- The number of times the consumer is allowed to copy the content to a CD.
- Allow the consumer to manage licenses by backing up and restoring them.
- Allow the consumer to save streamed content as a file.
Rights for Licenses
- The date after which the license is valid.
- The date after which the license is not longer valid.
- The number of hours a license is valid after the first time the license is used.
- The number of hours a license is valid after the license is stored.
Rights for Transferring Media Files
- Allow the consumer to transfer the media file to a non-SDMI-compliant portable device or portable media.
