ActiveSpamAV SMTP Proxy complies to the following standards:

  • Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), RFC 2821
  • SMTP Service Extensions, RFC 1869
  • SMTP Service Extension for Authentication, RFC 2554
  • Configuration Options
  • No Spam Today SMTP Proxy Configuration Options
  • IP port number for incoming mail (default 25)
  • outgoing mail server/port number
  • maximum number of concurrent SMTP connections to outgoing server
  • reject spam yes/no (return code 550 for supposed spam) with configurable failure message
  • SpamAssassin™ Configuration Options (Excerpt)
  • required hits (how many filtering points are needed to flag a mail as spam?)
